Frank Roberts and Sons Ltd, based in the Cheshire Market town of Northwich, was established in 1887. The site is home to both branches of the business; Roberts Bakery, which produces over 2 million loaves, rolls and morning goods each week and The Pastry Case, which specialises in sweet bakery products. Still run by the Roberts Family, the company is an integral part of the community and the cooling towers at the front of the bakery have become a renowned local landmark.

Roberts Bakery

The Roberts brand is synonymous with quality, only the finest ingredients go into our products. Our extensive range of retail bread, rolls and breakfast products is widely available across Cheshire, Staffordshire, North Wales and the Midlands, both in supermarkets and convenience stores. In addition to baking our Roberts branded bread we are also widely regarded as leaders of the catering loaf category, both in the UK and abroad. Our catering loaves are baked to a specially developed recipe which ensures a square slice and good keeping qualities in the sandwich format. The Pastry Case

The Pastry Case produces a range of sweet bakery products including gingerbread biscuits, chocolate clusters and ambient puff pastry. We are the UK's largest manufacturer of gingerbread shapes, of which we have an almost limitless portfolio; ranging from plain biscuits to the most intricate hand decorated designs. Our team are always happy to discuss developments to meet specific requirements.

The Pastry Case has a reputation that is second to none and we are proud to have all the major supermarkets among our customers. In 2008 we celebrated our 20th birthday and look forward to the next twenty years.

Frank Roberts & Sons acquires Aldreds

Frank Roberts and Sons Ltd has acquired Derbyshire-based bakery Aldreds the Bakers Ltd, in a deal that will retain all 62 staff at Aldreds.
