Roberts are proud to introduce the latest addition to our family with the launch of our new Seeded Farmhouse. Baked with a delicious blend of sunflower and poppy seeds, linseed and millet it's our tastiest loaf yet.

...it's kinder to the environment. We and our bag supplier have teamed up with Symphony Environmental Ltd, a British Company who supplies an additive branded d₂w®, to package these loaves in a special degradable bag.

The bags are made from an Oxo-biodegradable plastic, which under the right conditions and after a 'pre-programmed' period of time, causes the bag to break down into small pieces. These pieces break down further until they are small enough to become bio-degradable and are then naturally consumed by micro-organisms, leaving behind nothing more than CO₂, water and a small amount of humus.

This breakdown won't happen until well after you have finished using the bag and once disposed of in the normal domestic waste stream it can break down and 'disappear' up to 25 times faster than conventional plastic. It is also fine to recycle as normal, so if you prefer that route then follow the guidelines on the bag.
