We will be trustworthy and honest in all representations and where the withholding of information is necessary we will be clear about our motives and explain the reasons why.

Quality
The company is committed to a policy of quality assurance throughout its activities for the benefit of both customers and staff.  The products and services offered by the company are designed to satisfy customer specifications while also adhering to legislative and company working practices.

Methods of assuring quality and food safety are based on problem prevention and the company is dedicated to the application of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) technical standard and the Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) system. The company is EFSIS accredited and is regularly audited by major retailers.

The day to day management of this policy is undertaken by the technical manager with the full support of the board, management team and staff.  Regular quality reviews are undertaken, while quality standards are displayed at all times within the company and are included as part of the induction programme for all new recruits.

Environment
Frank Roberts and Sons recognise that as a food manufacturer we are using many natural resources in the production process and have a responsibility to minimise our impact on them. We will work continually to develop a sustainable environmental policy which measures and reduces our impact on the environment, most notably in the areas of energy usage, emissions and water consumption.

The company will ensure that the transportation of our products is undertaken in the most effective and efficient means possible, by our vehicle fleet. Every driver employed by the company is trained to drive in a way that is safe, considerate and maximises fuel efficiencies.

Waste from the production process and day to day running of the company is closely managed to ensure that we reduce and recycle as much as possible. We will ensure that our waste product has a minimum impact on pollution and the environment.

We are continually reviewing and assessing our packaging against the functional requirements to protect the product in transit and the impact on the environment. As new technologies emerge we will strive to reduce our packaging and to use more recyclable and degradable materials.

The company will make every effort to minimise any disruption caused to our neighbours and the local community. We maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment through the implementation of our health and safety policies and will assess any risks we may pose to our employees and all other stakeholders.
